John F. Moore, AIF®, Rhu, Lutcf
John F. Moore, AIF®, Rhu, Lutcf, CRPC, has been serving central Florida in the same location for over 30 years and is the fourth generation of a family dedicated to the insurance and financial services industry.
John is a fully licensed insurance agent offering life, health, property and casualty insurance and annuities. Additionally, he is a registered representative and an investment advisor representative. (Securities are offered through Parkland Securities LLC, member FINRA/SIPC. Fee-based investment advisory services are offered through Sigma Planning Corporation; a registered investment advisor). John believes the independent brokerage business is the most effective way to represent clients' interests rather than being affiliated with a large firm.
For the last five years John has taught financial and retirement planning classes at Orange and Seminole county libraries, Stetson University’s Deland and Celebration campuses and Valencia Community College Enterprise Campus.
John is a strong believer in volunteerism in his community. Most recently he has served on the Florida Bar Association's Grievance Committee. He has also acted as treasurer for the downtown Orlando Thornton Park Neighborhood Association and was actively involved as project manager/fundraiser in the construction of the Four Rivers Fountain. While attending and after leaving school at Stetson and UCF, John was assistant soccer coach for five years at Trinity Prep on a volunteer basis.
Always interested in new adventures, John has twice crossed the United States by bicycle; once solo and once as the leader for a group ranging in age from 15 to 68 in the 200th celebration of our nation in a program known as “Bikecentennial.” John also completed the inaugural Disney and the 100th Boston marathons and still enjoys jogging, biking and lifting weights. John lives with his wife, Colleen, and beagle, Copper, in downtown Orlando.
